Nutrition Information: How to Tell Fact from Fiction
In the age of this 24/7 digital society, it can be difficult to figure out if the Nutrition advice or information you are reading is true...
A platform for those with Coeliac Disease, Non-Coeliac Gluten Sensitivity and other Gut Disorders
Due to my love of health and wellbeing I studied to become a qualified and UK Registered Nutritionist (BSc, aNutr, UKVRN) based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I specialise in Health Promotion and Public Health (MSc, HP Practitioner) and have been working in the field of Nutrition and Health Promotion for 6 years. Uniquely, I have the experience of working in Health Promotion across 3 different sectors (Private, Public and Voluntary) and therefore have a broad understanding of the Health Promotion challenges we face.
I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease at 22 years old. My story is not ‘typical’ of a Coeliac Disease diagnosis, because there is no typical diagnosis, everyone has a different and unique story to tell. But one thing all Coeliacs usually have in common is that it was a painful, tiring and uncomfortable process. Whilst providing initial relief, a diagnosis can often bring with it more questions and confusion.
This is where I feel I can help! With my knowledge, passion and experience working in nutrition, I want to provide information for those with Coeliac Disease and Non-Coeliac Gluten Sensitivity.
I also have a keen interest in food allergies and intolerances and other gut disorders.
